There’s plenty of accommodation choice in and around Dalaman, from Self Catering properties to All Inclusive hotels. The popular beach resort of Marmaris is just over an hour's drive west along the coast and the pretty town of Icmeler is just a little further. The lively resort of Hisaronu is an hour's drive east.

Whether you're looking to hit the coast, explore ancient sites or discover natural wonders, beach holidays in Dalaman provide all this and more. From the coastal hotspots of Marmaris, Icmeler and Hisaronu, this sun kissed stretch of the Turkish Riviera has something for everyone.

This stretch of the Turkish Riviera is home to some of the country's best beaches, including Olu Deniz, a stunning bay with a 'Blue Lagoon' of crystal clear water. From here you can get to Butterfly Beach, which can only be reached by boat. Drop anchor and explore the quiet cove and white sand beach. Marmaris marina attracts luxury boats and mega yachts, particularly during the annual Race Week in October.

Explore Lake Koycegiz, a vast coastal body of water connected to the Mediterranean by the Dalyan River. This protected reserve attracts a variety of birds and fish. You can take a boat trip across the lake, swim in the water or enjoy the scenery from one of the many restaurants that line the banks. Dalyan has its own mineral rich thermal baths where Cleopatra is said to have visited. Finally, to see the famous Loggerhead turtles, take a trip to Iztuzu beach, a nesting ground strip of sand between the freshwater Dalyan River and the Med.

Explore part of the Lycian Way, Turkey's long-distance (509km) walking route that links Fethiye to Antalya. The trail snakes past ancient sites and has amazing views on a route between Kayakoy and Olu Deniz which can be walked in around two hours. The ancient city of Kaunos was founded in the 9th century and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This impressive site is home to a well preserved theatre, ruins of a Roman bath and remnants of an acropolis.
