Es Cana Holidays

The small but friendly resort of Es Cana is known for its laid back vibes, golden sands and weekly hippie market. Situated on the east coast of the island, Nightlife might not be as lively as some of the other resorts but you’ll find a good selection of chilled out cocktail bars along the water’s edge. The pine lined beach is one of Ibiza’s longest and you’ll find plenty to do right the way along it on your Es Cana holidays, from lounging in the shade to more extreme water sports.

26 °C

Temperatures in the summer can reach on average 26 ˚C but you can pretty much expect sunshine all year round.

From bar hopping along the beach to visiting a UNESCO-listed old town, there’s a big variety of things to do in Es Cana. The beach might be the main attraction but you’re also well connected by bus to a number of other destinations and major sights. As well as the big club options, you can enjoy a relaxing break just lounging on the sand and trying out some exciting water sports.

Without doubt the main draw of Es Cana is the beautiful curving beach that runs for over 300 metres in front of the town. With plenty of sunloungers, a good choice of cafes and bars to cool down, and incredibly clear water to go for a refreshing swim, You could spend days relaxing here. It’s a sheltered spot with a big range of water sports including parasailing and banana boating, and you can even strap on a tank and try scuba diving too.

Ibiza might be more famous for its superclubs and international party scene but it also has a strong link with its past. The island’s capital, Ibiza Town, has a UNESCO-protected old centre with a castle and 14th century cathedral, and it’s all just 40 minutes away from Es Cana. Stroll the streets and then head down to the marina where you can sit and sip cocktails as you watch the mega yachts sail into port.

There’s a tiny, working harbour in Es Cana, you can hire a boat to take out for the day. Head around the coast to see a different side of the island, where you can stay on deck and lounge around in the sun or jump in the water for a refreshing dip. Back in port, head along Es Cana’s main strip stopping in at your choice of top cocktail bars and cafes along the waterfront.

For summer festivals: More traditional celebrations happen throughout the summer, with weekly processions in honour of saints days and religious festivals. St. John the Baptist day in June is one of the biggest.

For shoppers: Every Wednesday since 1973 there’s been a hippie market in the town. Sellers come to show off their crafts, with musicians adding to the atmosphere with unique sounds.
