Feel Good Photography Competition
We want to reward you for your feel good holiday snaps
At Airtours, we know the world’s a beautiful place and holidays give us the opportunity to see it. With vivid sunsets, waves rolling up the beach, gently swaying palms and bustling cityscapes, we love to experience moments abroad and gain memories that last with us for a lifetime.
We’re setting students the challenge of sending us their feel-good holiday photographs that take them back to that perfect holiday.
For budding photographers, you get to have your prized photo on the Airtours site. Also, we’re going to give away one free Airtours holiday for two worth £1000, just as a little bonus.

AIRTOURS – FEEL GOOD PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
1. Eligibility To Enter
The competition is open to Colleges and 6th forms around the UK and their registered students. Entrants must be a student registered with and studying at a College or in a school 6th form (Year 12/13) at the time of entering this competition and, if they win, at the time the prize is awarded and taken.
Entrants must be UK resident.
If an entrant is not aged 18 or over, and they win the holiday prize, they will need to travel on their chosen Airtours holiday with someone who is aged 18 or over, and that other person will need to sign the booking form and be named as the lead passenger on the booking.
2. How To Enter & Closing Date
Each College or school that is participating must share the competition brief amongst their students in the news/blog section of their college website, together with a link to the competition terms and conditions page of the Airtours website (www.airtours.co.uk/feel-good-photography/)
Entrants must follow the entry brief and submit a photograph that they believe best represents an Airtours holiday destination.
The competition opens on 4th January 2017. Entries must be submitted no later than midnight on 17th February 2017 via www.airtours.co.uk/blog/feel-good-photography . Each entrant must submit only one photo together with their name, email address and the name/email address of their College or school.
3. Warranty, Licence and Indemnity
• The photograph submitted must be the original work of the student who is entering the competition.
By entering the competition, each entrant warrants that:
- he or she owns the copyright and all other rights in and to the photo submitted; and
- the publication and use of such photo by Airtours or any other company in the Thomas Cook group of companies will not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights whatsoever of any third party.
• Each entrant grants to Thomas Cook Tour Operations Limited (the “Promoter”) a perpetual, worldwide and non-revocable licence to use, copy, reproduce and publish the photograph they submit or any part thereof in any brochure, magazine, poster, website, social media site and/or in any other materials in all media, and to sub-licence such rights to any other company within the Thomas Cook group of companies, provided that the purpose of so doing is to promote awareness of the business, products and/or services of the Promoter or of any other company within the Thomas Cook group of companies.
• Each entrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter and each company within the Thomas Cook group of companies against all losses, damages, costs, expenses and fines that it may incur as a result of any breach on the part of the entrant of any of the warranties given in this paragraph 3 or any third party claim arising from any failure on the part of the entrant to comply with any part of these competition terms and conditions.
• Entrants must not submit any photograph that is likely to be considered offensive or inappropriate for public viewing via any media. Any such entry will be invalid and automatically disqualified from the competition.
4. Winner Selection
The winning photograph will be judged by a panel comprising representatives of Airtours.
The judges’ decision will be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into concerning that decision.
The winner will be chosen by 1st March 2017 and they or their College will be notified by email within 7 days of that date.
The winning student will be contacted by email (email will come from: email@example.com). The Promoter will also contact the College/school to notify them of the winner.
The winner must contact the Promoter no later than 30th March 2017 to claim their prize.
5. The Prize
The prize is an Airtours package holiday for the winner and one other person, such holiday to be chosen from the Airtours website.
The holiday chosen must not cost more than £1,000 in total, unless the winner/their travelling companion wishes to pay the additional cost over £1,000.
The holiday must be selected before 30th March 2017. Once selected, the winner must not make a booking, but must send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org by 30th March 2017 stating their name, the name of their travelling companion, and full details of the Airtours package holiday they wish to book, including the name of the hotel and resort, their requested travel dates, board basis and the holiday cost.
All holidays are subject to availability. If the holiday selected is not available, the Promoter will contact the winner and assist them in selecting an alternative Airtours holiday.
The holiday prize must be booked no later than 30th April 2017 and travel must be completed no later than 30th November 2017.
If the winner is aged under 18, the person who travels with them on the holiday must be aged 18 or over, and that person must agree to sign an Airtours booking form.
The normal booking conditions of Airtours will apply to the holiday prize, in addition to these terms and conditions. Where there is any conflict, the relevant part of these terms and conditions will prevail.
It is the responsibility of the winner and their chosen travelling companion to ensure they each hold a valid Passport and any necessary visa to be able to travel on their chosen holiday.
The winner and their chosen travelling companion must each purchase suitable travel insurance cover for their holiday.
All costs associated with taking the holiday prize, including but not limited to the cost of travel insurance, the cost of travel to/from the UK airport, spending money, the difference between the £1,000 prize value and the actual cost of the holiday chosen, etc. must be borne by the winner and/or their travelling companion.
6. Additional General Terms & Conditions
All decisions of the Promoter are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of the winning entry.
If requested to do so by the Promoter, the winner agrees to participate in any reasonable promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the prize, for no further consideration.
The Promoter accepts no liability for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or the prize awarded, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, modify or terminate this competition if necessary due to computer virus, tampering, bugs, technical failure or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which could corrupt or affect the security, integrity or proper conduct of this competition.
The Promoter accepts no liability for any loss or damage that may occur to any hardware or software used by Colleges or schools or by entrants as a result of participation in this competition.
No liability or responsibility is accepted by the Promoter for any inability to post or submit an entry in accordance with the instructions for entry, due to technical reasons or any failure of Internet connections.
If any winning entry or entrant is deemed not to comply with these competition terms and conditions, their entry will be invalid and will be excluded. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these terms and conditions.
By entering the competition, the entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the Courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising therefrom.
